Inspiring Thoughts … Every Month
The Humanity Project wants you to know about more of the free features available on our extensive website. In fact, everything on our site is totally free. So we hope you’ll spend some of your ‘Net surfing time to take a closer look. You may be surprised by what you find — pleasantly surprised, we believe. We have charming original stories on our fables page, for instance, each with a positive life lesson. And our podcast page includes interviews, discussions, original music and more. The PeacePage is another terrific section of our website, a collaboration by the Humanity Project with nonprofits and individuals from all seven continents. Yep, even Antarctica is represented. But today, we’d like to urge you to check out our quote page too. Click here to see the five quotes for June: http://thehumanityproject.com/quotes/
We’ll even give you a sample. Here’s the first one this month: ”Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around.” That comes from one of our favorite writers, Henry David Thoreau. Like his contemporary and friend, Ralph Waldo Emerson (whose birthday we celebrated in last week’s blog), Thoreau had learned that insight is an inner process. Our own hearts, they had discovered, offer the best guidance about how to live. Our June quote by Thoreau reflects that notion. The Humanity Project quote page has five new selections on the first of every month. We pick quotations that are intended to move us, motivate us … and make us stop to think. Remarkable women and men from all ages still have much to teach humanity. Unfortunately, too many people have yet to learn too many of those lessons. The Humanity Project hopes that our monthly quote page is helping to remind more of us about the profound ideas of thinkers past — and to inspire us to find the profound ideas that are somewhere within us all.
