Notice anything new? Just look at the top of this website, at the menu listings. You’ll find one has been added, something called “PeacePage.” Here’s the direct link to make it easy for you to see what we’re talking about: www.thehumanityproject.com/peacepage. We are very, very proud to host it on the Humanity Project site. Created by the Humanity Project in close partnership with our friend and member, Haikaa Yamamoto, PeacePage is a collaboration among nonprofit groups from all seven continents, as well as individuals from around the world. Yep, we even have Antarctica represented — twice. (By the way, you may remember Haikaa from her Work of Art Global Project … in 19 languages. Here’s the link for her website:  http://www.woaglobalproject.com/) PeacePage has one simple idea to express: no matter where we live, what we do for work, what religion we follow or any other differences among us, we are all one humanity. In other words, we have much more in common than anything that may divide us. PeacePage asked the nonprofits and individual contributors to send us photos that somehow reveal this common humanity — and we think they have succeeded wonderfully! We will be adding more nonprofit and “GlobalCitizen” contributions in the months ahead. The page is open to anyone who would like to take part. (If you’d care to add your contribution, please email us your idea.) PeacePage joins our blog and photo exchange with the Egyptian Association for Educational Resources as new outreach efforts by the Humanity Project, all in keeping with our core mission of cooperation and social connection. Just as we teach young children that everyone in school must help stop bullying, we also believe adults need to learn that everyone has a responsibility to work for a greater good, meaning the good of humanity as a whole. But to do that, we first need to each recognize the profound characteristics that unite every member of the human race. All of the nonprofits and individuals involved with our global photo gallery hope that PeacePage is one more step in that direction.
