A Welcome New Friend
Today, the Humanity Project proudly welcomes our newest major partner: Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital has joined the growing ranks of important institutions and organizations that support our work.
The timing is good in many ways. For one thing, JDCH will open its beautiful new state-of-the-art building this weekend. You can join in the festivities if you happen to be in South Florida. A parade begins at 8:30 a.m. at North 35th Avenue and Taft Street in Hollywood, Florida, featuring marching bands, baton twirlers, color guards and more. The new building will be dedicated at 10 with a block party and open house continuing until 3 p.m. This is a family event with lots of games and activities to entertain the kids. But the timing of this new partnership is good in other ways too. The Humanity Project’s acclaimed Anti-bullying Through The Arts program now will be presented as part of some existing JDCH programs, even as we continue bringing our anti-bullying campaign to local schools and clubs. Jennifer Belyeu and the other great folks at JDCH are going to help us make sure our work is available to more children than ever. This is happening just as we are adding a few improvements to Anti-bullying Through The Arts, making a powerful program even more compelling to young kids. Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital opened in 1992, providing family-centered health care regardless of ability to pay. To find out more, go to their website at http://www.jdch.com. A big thanks to everyone at JDCH — the Humanity Project very much looks forward to working with you for many years to come. And a big congratulations on your new hospital building. Have a great party on Saturday!
