Welcoming Our New Board Member
The Humanity Project is very pleased to announce our newest addition
to this organization. Gabriela Pinto has been elected unanimously to join the Board of Directors. All of us in the Humanity Project family welcome her. Gaby, as friends call her, was born in Colombia, where she earned a degree in Visual Arts and then worked in some of Bogota’s most significant museums. She moved to the United States in 2002, working in prominent South Florida art galleries. Last year, her life experience brought Gaby to a new place. She launched a website aimed at helping people, especially women, to cope with anxiety and depression — without drugs. You can see her wonderful work at www.heal-anxiety-and-depression.com. Gaby also has been an active member of the Humanity Project nearly from its creation. She helped with fundraising for our successful “Thousand Youth March for Humanity” in November 2008, and participated in the march. And she presents our innovative Anti-bullying Through The Arts program to elementary school kids. More than this, Gaby is an exceptionally intelligent woman, with a deep insight into human emotions and a thoughtful perspective on how to live more fully. We think she brings an array of experience and wisdom to our group, along with a welcome new diversity to our board. Welcome, Gaby! We all look forward to working with you!
