Humanity Project Goes International

We received some exciting news recently at the Humanity Project. First of all, Time For Kids (Time Magazine’s edition for children) featured the Humanity Project in its October 1 United States edition. There was even a blurb on the cover to promote the article, which is about our innovative anti-bullying books. These books include stories and poems and classroom project ideas written by 7th and 8th grade volunteers of the Humanity Project to help stop bullying in elementary schools. (Thank you State Farm for the funding!) Already the two slim volumes are going to elementary schools in South Florida as part of the Humanity Project’s Anti-bullying Through the Arts program — and also have gone as far afield as schools in California, Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states. Now news about our books is traveling overseas! Yay! Time For Kids tells us the story will soon appear in both Japan and Korea as part of the magazine’s foreign editions. We expect to be filling orders from Japanese and Korean educators before long. Thanks to Time For Kids for helping us spread the word about one of the Humanity Project’s exciting, effective programs. For our part, we’re working hard to make sure all of our programs stay both exciting and effective … and that they just keep getting better.
